Do you sometimes feel trap in your life not knowing how to break free from it? Do you sometimes wonder why you work so hard?</p>
<p><strong>1. Take Good Care of Yourself</strong></p>
<p>When your body and spirit feels good, you will feel good. Exercise at least twice a week. A healthy body will exude high energy that will attract good opportunities your way.</p>

<p>Spend some time alone. Be with yourself, reflect on your life. It can be reading, massage or just enjoy the surrounding. Get in touch with yourself to feel your being from within. It gives you clarity towards life.</p>
<p><strong>2. Be Gratefu</strong>l</p>
<p>Most unhappiness comes from discontentment. Instead of looking at what one possess, most focus on what one doesn’t possess.</p>
<p>Focus on what you already have. Be grateful for the money in your bank, your loving spouse and family, you are still breathing. Many wish to breath one more breathe, but can’t. Start in the morning by going through what you possess, and gently say, “Thank you.”</p>
<p><strong>3. Say It With Good Intentio</strong>n</p>
<p>The venom that will destroy our happy life is gossip. Whether you are the one saying it or receiving it, gossip is a venom that causes a slow death.</p>
<p>Gossiping focuses on the negative experiences with others, and it turns into personal attack overtime. When you gossip, be sure that someone else is gossiping about you too.</p>
<p><strong>4. Fill Your Mind With Positive Thoughts</strong></p>
<p>Mixed with positive people, read motivational books and watch inspirational movies. The most effective way is to take positive action, do positive things.</p>
<p>Taking positive action moves you forward in life which fills your life with positive energy.</p>
<p><strong>5. Build A Social Lif</strong>e</p>
<p>By increasing social activity, you decrease loneliness. Pick up healthy activity that involves two or more people. Recently, my whole team started rock climbing. It’s requires at least two person in rock climbing.</p>
<p>Some sports are actually good activities. Eg. Tennis, squash, basketball, badminton are great. It requires at least two people, but it doesn’t require a huge group of people like soccer which is hard to organize.</p>
<p><strong>6. Volunteer for an Organization, or Help another Person</strong></p>
<p>Everyone feels good after helping. You can volunteer your time, your money, or your resources. The more positive energy you put out into the world, the more you will receive in return.</p>
<p><strong>7. Invest With Love Ones</strong></p>
<p>Nothing can be more important than to invest time with your family. Your family are the closest to you, and having a well-bonded relationship with them can greatly improve your life as a whole.</p>

Ever had the feeling of waking up feeling lousy? A voice in your head is telling you not to do any work that day. It&#8217;s telling you that it is alright to rest that day. Then you don&#8217;t feel like doing anything that day, you rested. </p>
<p>There is nothing wrong with it. Really, it is alright to rest a little when the body needs it. The thing is if this is your style of operation, this is called ECY &#8211; EMOTION CONTROLS YOU. Your emotion gets you to move in a certain way. Most of the time, non-successful people operate in this mode. </p>

When non-successful people feels moody, they stop taking action that can bring them towards success. When things get tough, they feel struggle, they give up on success. </p>
<p>There is a common behaviour of non-successful people. Waking up in the morning feeling lousy, they called for sick leave, not wanting to work, not wanting to pursue success. Their behaviour is easily predicted because of their emotion. </p>
<p>Successful people have a opposite mode of operation. Theirs is YCE &#8211; YOU CONTROL EMOTION. Successful people have struggles too. They too were knocked down flat to the ground, but they behave differently. They have emotions too, but they do not allow that emotion to control their action. They are able to control that emotion, turn that emotion around so that it works for them.</p>
<p>Some successful people faces trouble waking up in the morning too. They do feel lousy at times, but they are able to switch this negative emotion into a positive one very quickly and move on. </p>
<p>Why there&#8217;s a need to turn that emotion around? </p>
<p>Simply because EMOTIONS DRIVES MOTION. Your emotion determines your action and behaviour. If you feel upset about someone, you will not treat him too well, wouldn&#8217;t you?</p>
<p>And how do we turn that emotion around? Very simple &#8211; by our thoughts. THOUGHTS DETERMINES EMOTION.</p>
<p>Think about your first love now. How do you feel now? Of course you can feel anything. But it comes from that thought of your first love. </p>
<p>Non-successful people struggles to take action because they first think of negative outcomes or thoughts. Then they feel negative emotions, therefore resulting in no action at all. </p>
<p>If someone wake up in the morning feeling lousy, and having the thought that he&#8217;s so tired, he doesn&#8217;t get enough rest, most likely he will continue his sleep. </p>
<p>On the other hand, same person wake up one morning feeling lousy, having the thought that he&#8217;s tired, he doesn&#8217;t get enough rest. He quickly thought of the tasks he needs to complete, the success he wants to achieve, he&#8217;ll probably kick himself out of bed. </p>
<p>It all start from the THOUGHT. With that thought, you can control your emotion instead of letting your emotion controls you. As the old saying, &#8220;you become what you think&#8221;. If you want to feel motivated, think motivated. </p>

Are there times when the going got so tough that you had the intention to give up? I had. Walking away from your dream to return to your old job or self seems to be so much easier. During challenging times, it seems like a natural thing to do; finding the easiest way out. Why go through those struggles? </p>

Furthermore, there are so much uncertainties. &#8220;Am I guaranteed rewards at the end of those struggles?&#8221; &#8220;When is it going to end?&#8221; How many of us can predict the length of the tough times? It may only be the beginning. However, it can be coming to an end. The problem is we don&#8217;t know. </p>
<p>Recently I went through one of those moments. Devastated, demoralized, discouraged &#8211; why they all start with &#8216;D&#8217;?</p>
<p>We placed an advertisement to promote our new program, Youth Success Boot Camp. Venue booked. The result, a Big Fat Zero response. Why do I need to go through this? While I wanted to add value, I was put through this struggle. </p>
<p>Is this a test from the Universe? Or is it a sign to give up? Maybe I&#8217;m not suppose to walk down this path. Seriously, doubt was flowing in my blood. If I knew between test or sign, it will make life so much easier. But I guess that&#8217;s life, turning and twisting made you guess along the way.</p>
<p>I decided with my partner that it was a test. We decided to push on one last drive. Maybe success is round the corner. Maybe we are at the end of the struggle. We made calls to the media company, placing another advertisement. </p>
<p>Then a miracle happened. Before the new advertisement is out, which is tomorrow, we already had 20 parents registered for the seminar. I am looking forward to the result of the new advertisement now. </p>
<p>If I were to give up after the first advertisement, I would not have these 20 parents. I would not have experience the miracles of the Great Spirit.</p>
<p>It has been written in so many books, sometimes success is just round the corner. Continue on the journey that was meant for you, success will definitely find you. </p>
<p>A great lesson I got is to have someone who can share that vision of yours. It can be one person or a group. Going through tough times alone can be really tough. Fortunately for me, my wife whose also my business partner is there to share. Knowing that someone is there to support greatly helps the spirit. </p>
<p>I had a distinction on those tough times. It was the tough times that made the good times sweet. When the parents emailed us one by one, my excitement went up inch by inch. Every parent who registered is such a gem to us. I started to appreciate every single person who&#8217;s coming to the seminar. </p>
<p>So if you are facing a challenging time of your life, know this &#8211; all challenges are there so that victory wil taste sweeter.<br />

Oh no! Here comes another one! When is this ever going to end? The answer is this will never end.</p>
<p>Life loves to throw us waves and waves of challenges. Sometimes they come one at a time, sometimes they come in five at a time. Better still, there are times they come in multiple directions, wanting to drown you. Once you overcome one, it will come another one. The fun part of it is they keep getting bigger and bigger.</p>

<p>Some wish that they never come across these waves of challenges. The challenges disrupts their lives, makes them weaker, contribute to their headache. They can&#8217;t have a peaceful time with all these challenges.</p>
<p>On the other hand, some welcome these challenges. They love these challenges. Challenges make their life full of meaning. They grew stronger from these challenges. These challenges gave them a purpose to live for. They feel happy with these challenges, they go head on with these challenges. It is a way they contribute their love to the world.</p>
<p>So challenges are always there. Some love them, some hate them. Some become weaker from them, some grew stronger. The things is it all depends on which side of the coin you are standing. What do I mean by this? Question is are you having more positive thoughts or more negative thoughts?</p>
<p>The negative thoughts look at challenges as obstacles or problems. The positive thoughts look at challenges as a way to grow. All of us has both positive and negative thoughts. You asked yourself, do you tend to think more positively or negatively? When a new challenge appear, do you see limitation or possibilities?</p>
<p>After hanging around with many successful people in my network, it&#8217;s true that successful people tends to have more positive thoughts. They do have negative thoughts once in a while. I mean, come on, they are humans too. The difference between them and many not so successful people is they are able to switch the negative thoughts to a positive ones very quickly.</p>
<p>How are they able to turn negative into positive so quickly? What do they know that others doesn&#8217;t know? This is the real secret to their success. Knowing how they do that can elevate your life to the next level. With this knowledge, you can maintain a positive attitude in life. You can create the kind of life you desire. Now, let&#8217;s discuss what is really going on in their brain?</p>
<p>It starts with consistently training the mind. Be aware of what is going through your mind. Catch yourself when you have flashes of negative thoughts. <p>Having trained your mind doesn&#8217;t mean you are invulnerable. Even Superman has a weakness. Incidents that may trigger your negative thoughts can still occur.</p>
<p>Few months back, I was really depressed. I screwed up a training session. I couldn&#8217;t engage the audience, I didn&#8217;t have good feedback from the team. I was even thinking of giving up the career. It hit me so bad that I couldn&#8217;t work the next day. I didn&#8217;t do anything the next day beside watching DVD.</p>
<p>With the training of the mind, I caught myself with all the negative thoughts flashing through. I knew I shouldn&#8217;t be feeling depressed. I knew I had to be positive, but I just couldn&#8217;t pick myself up.</p>
<p>But the same night, I told myself, enough is enough. I had been depressed for the whole day, doing nothing the whole day, it&#8217;s time to call an end to it. I made a decision, a commitment. I told myself, &#8220;I would not allow myself to fall into this depression because of this incident again. It&#8217;s time to rock and roll tomorrow. When I wake up tomorrow, it&#8217;s a new day, and I don&#8217;t want to feel this way again, period.&#8221; My life went back on track again when I woke up the next day.</p>
<p>So really, we are still humans with emotions. At times, we do drop back to the negativity line. Embrace that negative feeling, be aware of what&#8217;s happening in you. However, make a decision to climb back up. Set a deadline for yourself to have that feeling. Get over it once you are onto that deadline.</p>
<p>Maintaining a positive attitude is not that difficult. I do agree that the initial part is slightly tougher. Training your mind is not easy, but once you form an habit of being aware of your thoughts, the rest is a piece of cake.</p>
