Successful People Don’t Settle For Mediocrity

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

True success in life can only come by not settling for mediocrity, we should always strive to achieve and get the most out of life that we possibly can, it is only when we push ourselves and give it all we’ve got can we then give ourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. Success in life depends on self-discipline and not giving in at the first hurdle you come across or going into a project only half heartedly, by pushing yourself that little bit further you will be surprised at what you are capable of achieving, this is what separates the winners from the losers or the successful from the unsuccessful.

All people say that they want to succeed in life at whatever they do but very few are willing to actually push themselves them little bit further in order to achieve their goals, and this is why some of us succeed in life and others fail. How well you succeed is all about how bad you want the success, what it means to you, are you willing to succeed a little or are you willing to go the whole way and beyond to achieve a higher status and be outstanding?

We all start out with the best of intentions when racing towards the goals we have set, we shoot out of the starting gate and run down the straight but many of us fall back at the first hurdle, we don’t push, we run out of steam when the going gets tough and don’t pause to catch our second wind but come to a halt and give up, or stumble on half heartedly and cross the line in second or third place at best.

Those who do have the winning streak in them, who know that with a little extra push and a pause to catch their breath and then a final sprint down the home straight and past the winning post a head in front of their competitors are the ones that end up with the glory and true success in life.

Of course all those who are successful don’t just rely on pushing themselves, all winners have a strategy and are willing to be flexible on their way to success because life has a way of throwing many different spanners into the works along the way. We have to be able to adapt to these unexpected happenings when they occur and not get bogged down, we have to take them in our stride, skip around them and continue in the race.

Never settle for anything less than giving it you’re all

Here are some tips to help you remember never to settle for anything but your best no matter what the project is

  • It doesn’t matter how big or small the project put your all into getting it completed
  • If you think you have given it your best shot, pause and ask yourself “could I improve”
  • Plan our your project but always be willing to make changes and work your way around the unexpected
  • It’s ok to pause but get back into the race and carry on until you pass the winning post.

Yolanda Adams - Never Give Up

Monday, April 28th, 2008

While I’m searching for some inspiration songs, accidentally came across this song by Yolanda Adams. This is the first time I heard this song, and it was beautiful and inspiring.

This is one of the jewels that I found. Words are meaningful, melody is good. Enjoy.

Visions that can change the world trapped inside an ordinary girl
She looks just like me too afraid to dream out loud
And though it’s simple your idea, it won’t make sense to everybody
You need courage now If you’re gonna persevere

To fulfill divine purpose, you gotta answer when you’re called
So don’t be afraid to face the world against all odds

[CHORUS]
Keep the dream alive don’t let it die
If something deep inside keeps inspiring you to try, don’t stop
And never give up, don’t ever give up on you
Don’t give up

Every victory comes in time, work today to change tomorrow
It gets easier, who’s to say that you can’t fly
Every step you take you get, closer to your destination
You can feel it now, don’t you know you’re almost there?

To fulfill divine purpose, you gotta answer when you’re called
So don’t be afraid to face the world against all odds

[CHORUS]
Keep the dream alive don’t let it die
If something deep inside keeps inspiring you to try, don’t stop
And never give up, don’t ever give up on you

Sometimes life can place a stumbling block in your way
But you’ve gotta keep the faith, bring what’s deep inside your heart to light
And never give up don’t ever give up on you, Don’t give up

[BRIDGE:]
Who holds the pieces to complete the puzzle?
The answer that can solve a mystery
The key that can unlock your understanding
It’s all inside of you, you have everything you need yeahhhh

Sooooo, keep the dream alive don’t let it die
If something deep inside, keeps inspiring you to try don’t stop
And never give up, don’t ever give up on you

Sometimes life can place a stumbling block in your way
But you’re gotta keep the faith, bring what’s deep inside your heart yeah your
Heart to the light
And never give up Don’t ever give up on you

Nooo don’t give up,
No, no, no, no don’t give up
Oh, no, no, no, no don’t…give…up

Fire Up Your Full Potential

Monday, April 28th, 2008

I believe you are happy in life and do accomplish to some extent what you set out to do, but do you feel you could have done more? Do you feel you could have achieved more? While we might be particularly good at doing certain things in life we could excel if only we had the courage and belief in ourselves to go for it.

As children we were full of excellent and creative ideas. Ideas never stop flowing because we have an open mind and belief in ourselves that we can accomplish just about anything. However, as we were growing up, the fear of being ridiculed for making mistakes took over and we stem the flow of our imagination and ideas. We hold back our thoughts and this stopped us from developing our full potential.

The good news is it’s never too late to fire up your full potential. There is no right and wrong way of thinking. Many times the reason why others try to make you feel inferior when you voice opinions and ideas is because they wish they had had the idea and courage to speak up. Or worse still, some don’t want you to succeed because they are afraid of losing you when you do succeed.

Nevertheless succeed anyhow. So focus on your skills and abilities and let your thoughts run free, put them to good use and truly excel in life.

In order to be successful you should realize that you will sometimes make mistakes. Understand that no one is perfect and mistakes are opportunities to learn a lesson. Characteristics that you can nurture and that will lead to developing your true and full potential include:

• Working hard – there is no shortcuts to success, the universe will always reward those who put in their effort
• Having patience – Rome is not build overnight. Success is always around that corner, have that patience for it to arrive
• Determination – obstacles are there to make you stronger, grit your teeth, continue to move forward
• Commitment – be committed towards your goals and what you what to achieve, set goals in mind and don’t let anything or anyone stand in your way of reaching them
• Organizational skills – the more organized you are the easier the road to success will be, plan out your ideas to their fullest before putting them into action
• Learn from mistakes – you will make mistakes along the way but you can learn valuable lessons from these and move on
• Belief in yourself – if you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will, belief will change the way you react to situation
• Stay realistic – don’t set yourself goals that you cannot realistically achieve in a set amount of time, by setting yourself unrealistic goals you are setting yourself up for failure again and again.

When developing your full potential, remember these the two most important things, what you want out of life and what you can realistically do to make that possible. Once you have these facts clear then you can go full steam ahead towards achieving what you want. I wish you all the best in excelling in life.

Changing Negative Experience

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Do you face with circumstances in your life that are less than pleasant? It may be a personal relationship issue, a dull or stressful job, or financial distress. Do you wish you could turn completely on its head?

Do you believe that the Law of Attraction is fully capable of allowing you to take the things in your life that you do not enjoy and replace them with things that you do enjoy? Let’s take a peek at how you can use the Law of Attraction to change negative circumstances in your life.

First and foremost, while you will identify what you do not currently like about your life, this must not be your focus while using the Law of Attraction.
The only reason to identify your “don’t-wants” is so that you can easily define your “do-wants”, and then focus only on them.

The Law of Attraction, the Universe, and the Subconscious Mind are all incapable of distinguishing between a negative and a positive – what you focus on, expands. “I don’t want to be poor” will make you poorer, while “I desire wealth” will turn that situation around. “I want to be debt-free” will throw you deeper into debt. Change your words to, “I want to be financially free” will get you started in amassing great wealth. Start by figuring out what would best replace your negative circumstance, and then turn your attention fully to that.

Begin by visualizing, as frequently as possible for as long as possible, your new desire. Be it a new job, more harmonious relationships, or an improvement in finances. Imagine the end result that you desire.

Let’s say you want to be financially free. Visualize having that amount of money in your bank account, buying the things you want, flying to a country that you long to visit, driving your dream car or staying in your beach house.

Act scenes out in your head where your desire has already happened, and allow yourself to become as emotionally vested as you possibly can, as your emotion will fuel your desire’s manifestation.

There are times in life when unpleasant circumstances will arise as the result of a transition from the old to the new. This may be actual bad circumstances, or may be as little as your own fears that things aren’t going to get better. In any case, the trick is to focus on the positive – what you presently are grateful for and what you desire for your future – and to focus as little as possible on the current negative experience. That’s not to say you ignore it, or pretend you are not affected – just don’t spend the majority of your thought in anger, disappointment, depression, or other harmful forms of thought.

Finally, as the clouds begin to break, appreciate fully each and every step on the path out of your old unpleasant circumstances and into the new. Realize that each progressive change, whether seemingly helpful or not, is leading you toward your desire. Allow the process to unfold events naturally, and you will soon find that your old circumstances have evolved entirely into your desired circumstance. Always remember to be grateful afterwards, as you begin working on your next great manifestation adventure.

Change Your Point of View, Change Your Life

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Two salesmen went to South Africa to sell shoes. One came back saying, “no one wears shoes there. There’s no market for shoes. “The other one came back said, “no one wears shoes there. There’s a huge market.”

In life, there are always two sides to any situation. You may opt to have a pessimist’s view and live a self-defeated life or you may decide to take the optimist’s route and take a challenging and fulfilling life. You have a choice to choose what kind of life you want. Since you have a choice, isn’t it better to choose a fulfilling life?

Here’s how optimists are in action and researches that back up why it really pays to be an optimist:

Optimists expect the best

The defining characteristic of pessimists is that they tend to believe bad events, which will last a long time and undermine everything they do, are their own fault.

The truth is optimists are confronted with the same hard knocks of this world. What differs is the way they explain their misfortune—it’s the opposite way. They tend to believe defeat is just a temporary setback, that its causes are confined to this one case.

Optimists tend to focus on and plan for the ‘problem’ at hand. They use ‘positive reinterpretation.’ In other words, they most likely reinterpret a negative experience in a way that helps them learn and grow. Such people are unfazed by bad situation, they perceive it is a challenge and try harder.

They won’t say “things will never get better,” “If I failed once, it will happen again” and “If I experience misfortune in one part of my life, then it will happen in my whole life.”

Positive expectancies of optimists also predict better reactions during transitions to new environments, sudden tragedies and unlikely turn of events. If they fall, they will stand up. They see opportunities instead of obstacles.

People respond positively to optimists

Optimists are proactive and less dependent on others for their happiness. They find no need to control or manipulate people. They usually draw people towards them. Their optimistic view of the world can be contagious and influence those they are with.

Optimism seems a socially desirable trait in all communities. Those who share optimism are generally accepted while those who spread gloom, panic and hysteria are treated unfavorably.

In life, these people often win elections; get voted most congenial and sought for advice.

When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher

Optimists typically maintain higher levels of subjective well-being during times of stress than do people who are less optimistic. In contrast, pessimists are likely to react to stressful events by denying that they exist or by avoiding dealing with problems. Pessimists are more likely to quit trying when difficulties arise.

They persevere. They just don’t give up easily, they are also known for their patience. Inching their way a step closer to that goal or elusive dream.

Optimists are healthier and live longer

Medical research has justified that simple pleasures and a positive outlook can cause a measurable increase in the body’s ability to fight disease.

Optimists’ health is unusually good. They age well, much freer than most people from the usual physical ills of middle age. And they get to outlive those prone to negative thoughts.

So why not be an optimist today? And think positively towards a more fulfilled life.

Why not look forward to success in all your endeavors? Why not be resilient? Like everybody else you are bound to hit lows sometimes but don’t just stay there. Carry yourself out of the mud and improve your chances of getting back on the right track. And why not inspire others to remove their dark-colored glasses and see life in the bright side?

How To Attract Success

Friday, April 25th, 2008

The Law of Attraction, made famous by the movie, “Secret”; works by using your desires and emotions to empower the manifestation of what you want. For specific goals, such as a new car, this can be a simple task. However, for broader goals, like attracting success, it can be trickier. So how do you get emotionally invested in attracting success?

Visualization exercise is one way. Beside that there are other ways to assist you in attracting success. In fact, once you get good at this, you will begin a snowball effect when you can turn everything you touch into gold. Let’s look at how to begin attracting success into your life now.

First of all, the Law of Attraction is basically a law that states that the universe must bend to match your inner state. The outer world is merely an expression of your inner world. Therefore, in order to begin attracting success, you need to become more success-oriented in your mental life.

This can be very powerful, as you can basically use every little thing that comes along in your life as an exercise toward charging your intent. If you are working on a project, imagine being vastly successful. In fact, imagine being vastly successful in your career in general. Imagine success in closing a business deal. Imagine success in finding a parking spot. Imagine success in competitive sports. Imagine success in every area of your life.

In this way, you are not sitting down and attempting to visualize this all-generic term of success, but instead are making it real in several instances of your life. “Success” itself is not exciting. Winning a game you’re playing is far more exciting. The idea of climbing to the top of the corporate ladder is exciting. The idea of owning a multi-million company is exciting. The idea of having all of your dreams fulfilled, your dream house, car, etc, is exciting.

The events of success are far more exciting than success itself. Through these individual instances of success, you empower the totality of your success intent.

The more you work at making this habitual thinking, the more energy you will put into it. Small successes will begin to come your way – relish each of them! They will build into bigger and better successes, and this snowball effect will eventually take you, like a surfer on a powerful wave, straight into the life that you currently desire.

Remember to exercise your visualization and daydreaming powers with the smaller things first – success in business, success in love, success in games, success in finding friendships… all of the little things add up to quite a large sum.

Finally, to become successful, begin acting as though you were already successful. This inner experience will send out vibes to the universe saying that you are already successful, and more success will follow. Good luck, and may you succeed at whatever you do!

Attracting a Peaceful Life

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Do you at times feel that your life is full of turbulent? In reality, there is metaphorical peace and war going on all the time. The thoughts that you hold, which affect your vibrational frequency, determine where on the scale your experience falls. Learning to raise your energy so that you attract positive, peaceful circumstances is very important. Let’s discuss some ways to do that.

First and foremost, learning meditation is by far the most powerful tool you can utilize to raise your energy. By learning to become silent, you can use visualization, much like in your typical law of attraction work, to raise your energy. The major difference is that when you are raising energy, you will feel it as you do it. Once you have begun to feel your energy body, there is no mistaking the feeling of raising your vibrations.
